Rudy developed, designed and built, The Links Course at Paso Robles, located in California's Central Coast.  He took the project through the development plan approval process in 1994, built the course with the help of friend, student and PGA Member Glenn Princic in 1995 and opened the course in September 1996.   The Links Course was designed to play simularly to those Scottish courses he played during his three trips to Scotland.  Rudy along with his partner Wilbur W. Lorbeer owned and operated the course until July 2005 when they sold it. 

He teamed with Gary Wishon, a long time friend, PGA Member and landscape designer, to design River Oaks Golf Course.  River Oaks is a master planned community built by Dick Wilhoit of Paso Robles.  Rudy and Gary designed the innovative 6 hole course with three different tees on each hole.  This beautiful Paso Robles, California Golf Course has 5 par 3's going out with a well bunkered up hill dogleg left par 4 going back to the clubhouse.

Since 1981 Rudy has co-owned the master lease at Chalk Mountain Golf Course in Atascadero, California. Chalk Mountain Golf Course sits on rolling hills, with a meandering creek and among 100 year old Oak Trees.  The course is located in South Atascadero, just 15 miles north of San Luis Obispo, California.
